Is URelf really free?
Yes. The Free plan includes 10 new links per day and up to 100 links in total, with analytics, QR codes and API access. There’s no trial period and no credit card required.
Do my links expire?
No. Links keep working for as long as your account exists, unless you set an expiry date yourself or a link breaks our Acceptable Use Policy.
Why do I need an account to shorten a link?
Anonymous shorteners are a favourite tool of spammers and phishers. Requiring a verified account keeps URelf links trustworthy, so people are happy to click them.
What counts towards the daily limit?
Every link you create counts towards today’s total, which resets at midnight UTC. Deleting a link frees a slot in your overall total, but not in today’s count.
What do you track about people who click my links?
We record the time, country (from our CDN), referring website, and device, browser and operating system. We never store IP addresses. Unique visitors are counted with a keyed hash that changes every day, so visitors can’t be followed across days.
Can I change where a link points after sharing it?
Yes. You can edit the destination, short name or title at any time. Links use temporary (302) redirects, so changes take effect immediately.
How do I report a malicious link?
Use the report form or email [email protected]. We review reports quickly and disable links that break our rules.
